I have researched some additional facts about my documentary, more particularly about the internet technology use of kids,teens and adults. I am now picking the ones I find most relevant and intend to include some of them in my documentary:

Over 50% of the average waking day is spent on media or communication activity  – more than is spent on sleep

Young children have been found to have the same knowledge and understanding of digital devices as the average 45 year old

99% of those aged 16-24 have used the web

7 out of 10 adults (68%) use a handheld device to access the internet ‘on the go’

91% of those aged 16-24 use the internet for activities such as social networking

53% of adults who don’t use the internet say it is because they don’t need it; 32% – because of lack of skills

40% of people access the internet 5 or more times per day

Average time spent per month browsing online on PCs or laptops is 36h and 49m.
